How does the auto transport process work?

After you have submitted your online order form and paid the deposit, then your vehicle will be assigned to a truck. It usually takes a few days to match your vehicle to a truck. If you are in a less populated area matching a truck to your vehicle can take longer. Once your vehicle has been assigned a truck, the dispatch or driver will call you to schedule a pick up. At that time the driver will perform a thorough inspection of your vehicle, noting any damage on the bill of lading. Once the driver gets close to your area they will call and setup a delivery time. When you receive your vehicle another inspection will be done with you referencing the bill of lading.

How long does it take to ship my vehicle?

A coast to coast trip can take from 5 to 14 days. Traffic, weather, route detours and other unforeseen events can delay your delivery. We try to accommodate your requested pickup and delivery dates, but cannot guarantee dates. If you need a guaranteed date, please call the office and for an extra fee we can guarantee delivery.

How should I prepare my vehicle for transport?

All of the fluid levels need to be low enough to allow for expansion. Any rips or tears on convertible tops should be sealed to prevent further damage from the wind. The gas level must be between 1/8 and 1/4 of a tank. A full tank can add costly weight to the transport. Make sure all items on the vehicle are secure such as the battery, specialty items, ground effects, spoilers, mirrors, etc, and if possible lower the antenna.

Where is my vehicle picked up and delivered?

We offer Door to Door delivery service. Occasionally these large carriers may not be able to delivery directly to your home because of maneuverability or local regulations. In these cases an alternate site with a large parking lot such as a mall or grocery store will be chosen.

How do I pay for the vehicle shipping?

A predetermined deposit is required for each vehicle to be shipped. We accept all major credit cards, paypal, and certified funds. The balance will be due upon delivery. Drivers will only accept cash or certified funds made out to the driver.

Is my vehicle insured while in transport?

All trucks are insured as required by the State and Federal requirements. When the vehicle is picked up and delivered it will be thoroughly inspected. When your vehicle is delivered, it is your responsibility to inspect for damage. Document any damage on the bill of lading and obtain the drivers signature. The insurance company will not honor claims made after the time of delivery.

How far in advance do I need to schedule my vehicle pickup?

Scheduling a truck to pick on your vehicle on a specified date can usually be accomplished if you provide a week’s notice. If you are in rural or less traveled areas you should allow a few weeks to schedule a pickup.

Can I ship Personal items?

Any personal items left in the vehicle are the solely your responsibility. The insurance company does not cover personal items. Absolutely no firearms, hazardous materials, illegal substances or contraband may be placed in the vehicle. The truck is subject to several inspections along the route. Anything of substantial weight will be asked to be removed.

Do I need to be there when my vehicle is picked up and delivered?

Yes, you need to be present for the pickup and delivery of your vehicle. You may designate an agent to act on your behalf if you are unable to be there.
